Free and Reduced Applications
We will also be continuing the free and reduced lunch
program for any families that may need it.
We have applications in the office and you will also be able to complete
applications online. Go to http://capecharterschools.org and then click on
applyforlunch.com under the school lunch info menu. It is important to note that it may take up
to 10 days to process your free and reduced lunch application. You must pay the full price until your
application has been approved. Last year’s status will carry over for the first
30 days. You MUST reapply for this
school year. After 30 days, your child
will go back to full paying status without an approved application on
file.
Lunch accounts and charges
Our policy is that a student may only charge 2 lunches
and then they will receive a sandwich and milk.
If paying for meals is becoming an issue, please see the cafeteria
manager about filling out a free and reduced application. In addition, no snack cart items will be
allowed to be charged at any time. The
student must have cash or money on their account to purchase from the snack
cart.
Online payments
In order to help parents know what their child’s lunch
account balance is, we are offering the option of making payments online. SchoolPaymentSolutions.com is an online payment
portal especially designed to allow parents to make quick and easy online
payments to their children's school accounts. The system allows parents to
manage their children's lunch accounts quickly and easily. You will be able to pay with a credit card,
check your child’s account balance, see what your child is eating, and receive
account balance alerts and much more. Go
to http://capecharterschools.org and then click on
schoolpaymentsolutions.com under the school lunch info menu.
Milk & Allergies
As a part of the national school lunch program, we are required to
give our students milk as a part of their meal.
If your child is lactose intolerant, please submit a doctor’s note and
we will provide SILK for your child. If
your child is also allergic to soy then provide a doctor’s note and we will
provide your child with water. If your
child is allergic to any other food items like peanuts, etc., please provide a
doctor’s note and we will mark it in our system and we can provide an
alternative item. It is important to
note that your child may not like the alternative but due to our limited
resources, we will only be providing one per day.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
