Welcome to Physical Education at Oasis Charter Elementary School.  Students will need to wear tennis shoes and girls wearing dresses must have shorts on underneath.  Our class goal is for students to achieve active and healthy lives through lifelong fitness.  In this class we focus on movement skills such as locomotor, nonlocomotor and manipulative skills, body/space awareness, games, individual/team sports, health and safety.  We also teach character education.  Students will learn sportsmanship, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.  We have two significant events throughout the course of the year.  In the fall, we partake in Jump Rope for Heart.  Jump Rope for Heart is an event sponsored by the American Heart Association.  Students raise money to help prevent heart disease and stroke.  In the spring, we have field day.  During this event; students participate in different relay races with their classroom teacher.  We look forward to seeing you in class!
